The molten sheen of the summer sundown coated the horizon. It’s a sultry evening. The city of joy is under the lash of merciless heat since last few days. It’s another evening...again …I am returning home from office via the EM Byepass. The traffic stands still as if they have pledged not to move .. In the midst of this immobile traffic jam, amidst the call of the giant billboards and hoardings, I am sitting alone inside the cab.. The buy me now hoardings look so flashy yet unreal, so close yet so far… so unreachable yet so very much fetch able.

I see Kolkata decked in neons, I see the hoardings which covers almost the entire stretch of my journey … alluring me to believe in another world.. the world of dreams.. the never never land .. sitting in the thick traffic jam I gaze at the hoardings … they promise me a new home, a new car, affordable loans, a bright future , cool breeze of the latest Acs, .. Like dream the hoarding change as my taxi approaches to the next billboard.

I close my eyes…. my life is like the hoardings.. I dream .. the glitzy flashy dream and before they realize into reality they change.. Like the giant size hoardings my dream changes… from one to the other and then another one.. and then a..n..o..t..h..e..r. …..

I am in front of my home… paying the bill I unlock the door .. I enter the world of reality with a shadowy yet deep desire to see the giant size hoardings , to feel and touch my dream ..again tomorrow...
